Official opening of Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital

Official opening of Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital, one of the largest in Turkey, with the attendance of Mr Erdoğan (President of the Turkish Republic) during the Coronavirus Pandemic. The request was to both host the launch live and digitally to be streamed via Youtube to the Japanese Investor Firm of the hospital simultaneously along with the Turkish invitees who were unable to attend.

1/ Youtube live streaming doesn’t normally allow two different sound sources and doesn’t offer an alternative language option

2/ The stream to Japan was requested to be 20% in Turkish and 80% in English while the live stream to Turkey was to be in 100% Turkish

The system was set up 2 days in advance to give us 1.5 days to monitor the instabilities on the internet capability & necessary upgrades were made. The visual and audio input was recorded and stored separately and were first streamed to the diting table. We created an individual embedded link for the live stream from the hospital floor and were immediately streamed after strengthening to the Turkish audience.

For the Japanese audience;

• Visuals were kept the same
• Turkish audio input was given directly to the translator’s earplug and quietly to the live stream
• The translator’s output was provided to the live stream
• And our editing table was able to put together and monitor it all
