Brief
WAIPA is Association of World Investment and Promotion Agencies. WAIPA hosts an annual World Investment Conference. In 2017, WIC took place in Dubai.
Our client asked us come with them to Dubai and take a part as consultant for the conference in order to share our experiences from one the best WICs which had taken place in Istanbul a year earlier.
Challenge
We were there as a consultant and of course there was a local agency who was handling the operations. However, our client was counting on us as we already knew what to do and how they wanted things to be handled.
The pace is always very fast during all our events, we solve things really quickly and show great flexibility. The pace of the local agency was a little bit slower than we were expecting and this was the biggest challenge for us.
Solution
We became a part of the operations team and started working close to the onsite team, AV & hotel team to solve any issues in the way the client would like it to be solved.
Coming to Dubai as a consultant turned into a totally different experience. To make our client’s event successful is always our aim and the best way is always to be a part of the team – eschewing traditional client – supplier relationships. We think this is the best way to show how we value our clients and the friendships we build with them, no matter in which city or country we are at.
