Welcome to Bodrum, a peninsula in southwest Turkey spreading out on the Aegean, with small coast towns and breathtaking beaches, and a vibrant centre with colourful shops and one of the liveliest night scenes.
| Founded in antiquity, the town of Halicarnassus – the capital of Caria – once hosted the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The town was later ruled by the crusader knights of St. John whose 14th century castle still dominates the view.
| | | | MEP TOUCH | | Ever ready to attend to the needs of our clients MEP will greet you in Bodrum. Imaginative activities and entertainment organised by MEP will add colour to your visit to Turkey and will make it even more memorable. Here is a sample program which we propose for your visit: | | | | The Largest Museum of Underwater Archaeology with MEP Touch | The day in Bodrum can start with a visit to the Crusader castle which now houses the largest museum of underwater archaeology in the world. Among the shipwrecks on display the oldest dates back to the days of the Trojan War. Also on display are objects discovered in these ancient shipwrecks including the seal of Queen Nefertiti and a model of the local Queen Ada, a contemporary and acquaintance of Alexander the Great. MEP will organise an event with the Museum Curator who will host guests with wine and snacks at the “English Castle.” | | | A Cruise on the Aegean with MEP Touch
| How about a cruise on gullets following the visit to the castle? The gullet is a sailboat with a wide body that is characteristic to Bodrum which makes cruising ever so comfortable and relaxing. Following an hour cruise, the boats can anchor in a bay where one can experience swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Agean. The return to Bodrum will be after a fish lunch served on the gullets. | | | | A Dinner By the Sea with MEP Touch | An evening will be organised in one of the small towns on the sea: Turkbuku is the St. Tropez of Turkey, a popular resort for Jet Set from all over the world. You can enjoy dinner at a fusion restaurant and continue with drinks and dancing in one of the fashionable venues on the beach. Or you can enjoy dinner at one of the famous fish restaurants in Gumusluk, the ancient city of Myndos. Gumusluk is a small fishing village on the tip of the peninsula and it is one of the least developed towns in the area offering a magnificent view of the Aegean with the Greek island of Kos visible in the distance. | | | Enjoy Staying in Bodrum with MEP Touch
